Overview

An 'XtraEvent' is an additional user event, placeable anywhere on an ended track.

This can be useful for extra info that wasn't:

- provided approximate locations are known.

XtraEvent creation and handling:

The Map, in which a XtraEvent is to be created, must be opened (directly) from the History mainpage or the Tracklist:

Ref Opener Tapping Back button *)
- History mainpage   HistMap     < History
- Tracklist body See Cell gestures and shortcut taps   < Tracklist

*) A Track zone suffix is appended, e.g.   < History z9

How to create a new XtraEvent

Also explained in the Creating an XtraEvent Help In-App Help page.

Open a map (below: from the Tracklist), that after being arranged by moving and pinching displays the track to which the XtraEvent should be added

Set the Long-press mode picker option

Below, that was just done:

The 'Show eventpins' selection is thereby automatically set to 'All (slowest)' if otherwise set - and cannot be changed:

This ensures that entanglement of events (pins) is prevented - it's under visual control.

Long-press near track

Below, that was already done:

Notice the Map page has a one-letter mode indication 'X' in the navigation bar.

The Callout popup shows the timestamp for the plot (location), to which the XtraEvent was attached.

Tapping its Disclosure button opens a Action on Event menu (Map version):

Use the   Event editor   action for aftercare purposes - as a minimum, the Text-note should be changed:

Requirements for creating XtraEvents

To ensure good precision, you must long-press close to a track:

To avoid entanglement of events (pins), you must long-press not too close to another event::
